Patch Notes:

Battle Royale

9th Anniversary Event

Every anniversary is a grand celebration shared by all players. For this special occasion, we want to bring fresh gameplay into matches and help everyone create unique anniversary memories on the battlefield.

For this year’s 9th Anniversary celebration, we are focusing on match pacing. While keeping the overall flow smooth, we want the early game to feel more varied, the mid-game to offer more activities, and the late game to provide a continuous sense of growth.

With that in mind, we have prepared a series of gameplay updates:

Anniversary Quests

More to do in the early and mid game

“After the intense landing fights in BR, the winning team usually starts taking control of the area. To make area control more rewarding, area missions have been added across the map.”

During the 9th Anniversary event, each map area will randomly generate one quest. After entering an area, players can accept its quest through Vending Machines or dedicated quest points, then complete it with teammates to earn generous rewards. These quests add more early and mid-game objectives while helping teams that win landing fights build their advantage.

3 quest types are available:

  • Collect Fragments: Shoot and collect Anniv. Fragments scattered across the map to assemble a complete Anniversary Crystal.
  • Reforge the Sword: Defend and capture the Knight’s Sword with teammates to gradually restore it.
  • Coins in the Air: Use jump pads to collect coins floating in the air.

Quest Rewards:

  • Teamwide buff.
  • Coin Jar: Throw it to create a coin circle at the landing point. Players inside the circle will dance and build progress. Once the progress bar is full, they receive FF Coins.
  • High-value ground loot.
  • Coin Machines in the area refresh, allowing previously collected Coin Machines to be used again.
  • Vending Machines in the area are upgraded with discounts.
  • Revival Points in the area are upgraded. Cooldowns are refreshed, Revival Points become Advanced Revival Points, and capture speed is increased.

Skill Boost & Weapon Awakening

Stronger growth in the mid and late game

“To make combat feel more dynamic as matches progress, Skill Boost and Weapon Awakening will be introduced during the event. These features add new growth options after players reach their full build in the mid to late game, helping fights feel less fixed and repetitive.”

Skill Boosts: During the early and mid stages of a match, players can enhance their equipped skills with Skill Boosts. This will increase their combat power and introduce new strategic choices and gameplay possibilities, creating a more dynamic experience.

How It Works

  • In BR mode, players earn Skill Boost Energy by surviving, dealing damage, and scoring eliminations. Once the progress bar is full, they can choose a Skill Boost to enhance their character skill.
  • Skill Boosts are currently available for Alok, Koda, Homer, Chrono, Kassie, Skyler, Wukong, and Oscar. Each skill has two boost options, but only one can be selected.
  • Players using active skills not listed above receive a 15% skill cooldown reduction instead.

Detailed Design

Skill Boosts are designed to amplify each base skill’s unique strengths. Each skill has two enhancement options: one upgrades the original effect while preserving its core gameplay, and the other adds new effects for a fresh experience. Some skills may even unlock entirely new mechanics, bringing more variety to combat and strategy.

Chrono

  • Boost 1 - Time Veil
    • Some long-range players often use Chorno’s force field as temporary cover, weaving in and out to peek for shots and create openings. To make this playstyle more rewarding,  the skill is getting a tactical twist: enemies outside the field can no longer see what is happening inside. This allows Chrono users to reposition, peek, and pressure opponents with greater unpredictability.
    • Boost Description: Creates a force field that cannot be seen through and blocks 1000 DMG.

  • Boost 2 - Time Drift
    • While the force field provides strong protection, its fixed position can sometimes limit options. With the second boost, the force field can move with the user or be anchored in place when they are ready to hold their ground. Make the best use of this flexibility to pop the shield and lead the charge!
    • Boost Description: The force field moves with the skill user and blocks 600 DMG. Tap the skill again while in effect to stop the movement.

Homer

  • Boost 1 - UAV Shockwave
    • When Homer’s drone locks onto an enemy, it often reveals only a single target, leaving it unclear whether their teammates are nearby. To support better decision-making, this boost expands Homer’s intel-gathering ability. After hitting an enemy, the drone performs an additional scan around the impact point, exposing nearby opponents and providing a clearer view of the battlefield.
    • Boost Description: When the skill hits an enemy, activates one scan at the designated area (in a range of 120m for BR, and 30m for CS), exposing in-range enemies on the minimap for 5s.

  • Boost 2 - Super Drone
    • Some players use Homer to initiate an attack before rushing in, but the slow effect does not last long enough to create a meaningful advantage. This boost supports a more aggressive playstyle by letting the user ride a super drone for high-speed movement, keeping pace with the attack and quickly following up on slowed targets.
    • Boost Description: Launches an enhanced drone to start gliding with a 15% speed boost. Lasts 15s.

Oscar

  • Boost 1 - Phantom Dash
    • Oscar excels at rushing in and breaking through enemy walls. This boost pushes that strength further by expanding the impact range, making it easier to create openings.
    • Boost Description: Summons Oscar's phantom forms to increase the range of dash.
  • Boost 2 - Sustained Dash
    • To make Oscar a more strategic option for rushers, this boost extends the dash duration instead of focusing on instant impact. To maintain balance, dash speed is reduced at first and increases over time.
    • Boost Description: Extends the dash duration to 8s, with a lowered dash speed that increases over time.

Wukong

  • Boost 1 - Camo Decoy
    • Wukong can often sneak into position and catch enemies off guard with his disguise. This boost lets the skill user leave behind a moving Wukong decoy, taking the deception game to the next level.
    • Boost Description: Leaves a moving Wukong decoy at the original location. The decoy disappears upon taking 10 DMG, or after 10s, or when the user returns to human form.
  • Boost 2 - Cloned Camo
    • Another advantage Wukong offers is the room for repositioning, allowing players to weave around cover and break line of sight. This boost doubles down on that potential by letting him generate two extra bushes.
    • Boost Description: Transforms into a bush while creating two extra bushes, lasting for 10s.

Kassie

  • Boost 1 - Mutual Focus
    • Kassie serves as a key support, keeping teammates healthy and ready for the next fight. This boost increases her impact and staying power by letting her restore a small amount of HP to herself while using Focused Therapy to heal allies.
    • Boost Description: Whether released manually or automatically, Focused Therapy restores 60 HP for self while healing the teammate.
  • Boost 2 - Echoed Bond
    • To give Kassie’s Basic Therapy a little extra firepower and spice up the combat, the second boost generates two mini Kassie clones: one behind the user and one behind the targeted teammate. These mini clones fight alongside the team and deal extra damage.
    • Boost Description: Creates mini Kassies behind self and the target teammate. Each mini Kassie deals 5 DMG when the person they're behind lands a shot. Cooldown: 0.2s.

Skyler

  • Boost 1 - Sticky Rhythm
    • Skyler is great at breaking defensive setups and forcing enemies out from behind Gloo Walls. This boost enhances that strength: after Riptide Rhythm hits, it creates a small lingering area that locks onto the nearest enemy and follows them. As the area moves, it continuously damages any Gloo Walls caught inside, forcing enemies to keep moving and making cover harder to rely on.
    • Boost Description: Creates a small area that sticks to the target enemy, dealing damage over time to walls inside it.
  • Boost 2 - Split Rhythm
    • Players often use Skyler to create openings for the team, and this boost pushes that role further by letting him pressure multiple walls at once. Skyler enters a channeling state, automatically targets different Gloo Walls within range, and continuously launches split waves toward them. This helps dismantle defenses more efficiently while still giving opponents time to react.
    • Boost Description: Searches for Gloo Walls within 75m and locks onto the target walls for 15s. Unleashes sonic waves that deal damage to up to 3 of these walls at the same time.

Additionally, Koda’s skill boost, which first appeared in the Lost Treasure event, and Alok’s from the Beat Carnival will both return in the upcoming patch.

Alok

  • Boost 1 - Speed Remix: Aura range increases to 10m, and teammates inside it receive a 16% speed boost.
  • Boost 2 - Heal Remix: While the skill is in effect, restores 20 HP/s.

Koda

  • Boost 1 - Synced Vision: Marks the enemies who are revealed during the first interval of detection for 3s and share this info with teammates.
  • Boost 2 - Imprinted Vision: Each time an enemy is revealed, they will gain a stackable imprint (up to 3 stacks). Attacking them will activate their stacked imprints, dealing extra 10 DMG per stack.

Weapon Awakening:

A new Upgrade Chip, the Weapon Awakener, is entering matches. Use it on a weapon to awaken it and turn it into one of the most powerful weapons on the battlefield!

  • All weapons except melee weapons and secondary weapons can be awakened.
  • Awakened weapons receive overall enhancements, with one stat receiving an additional bonus.
  • Awakened weapons have unlimited ammo, except grenade weapons and grenade modes.
  • How to unlock:
    • Players can obtain Weapon Awakeners from upgraded Arsenals.
    • When only 10 players remain in the match, all surviving players will automatically receive 1 Weapon Awakener.

On-the-Spot Revival: More Tactical Choices

In BR, teams usually need to use a Revival Point or Vending Machine to bring back an eliminated teammate. During the event, On-the-Spot Revival adds another option: revive a teammate immediately at their current location to keep moving, or rotate to a Vending Machine or Revival Point depending on the situation.

Each player can be revived on the spot once. On-the-Spot Revival becomes unavailable after the 4th Safe Zone. Reviving takes 10s. After revival, the player automatically retrieves any items left in their own loot box that have not been taken by others.

9th Anniversary Party Venue: A Brand-New Playable Area

Alongside gameplay updates, the map gets a themed scene update with a more distinctive playable area.

During the event, Factory on Bermuda will be temporarily replaced by the 9th Anniversary Party Venue. With a new layout and visual design, the venue offers a refreshed combat space and brings unique anniversary memories to each match.

BR Area Loot Tier Display

Spot high-tier loot areas for strategic landings

“During the parachuting phase, players can now see the loot tier of each major area, helping them assess the value and risk of different drop locations.”

  • Each BR area now displays a unique color below its name based on its loot tier. Loot tier colors include red, gold, and purple.

Fist Bump

Fun in-match interaction with teammates!

“Players can now celebrate with teammates, or even opponents (why not?), using the new fist bump emoji. Start a fist bump in-match to add a bit of fun to intense battles.”

  • Added a new emoji tab to the quick messages menu. Tap the fist bump emoji to start a fist bump interaction with nearby teammates or enemies.
  • The fist bump button also appears automatically when a player eliminates an enemy with teammates nearby.
  • Players can quickly accept teammates’ fist bump requests by tapping the respond button.
  • Multiple players can join the fist bump interaction together.

Clash Squad

9th Anniversary Event

The 9th Anniversary event also brings pacing changes to CS. To make power growth more noticeable throughout the match, Skill Boost is added in the early game, while Weapon Awakeners appear in the mid to late game for a fresh combat experience.

Both Skill Boosts and Weapon Awakeners require CS Perk Points to unlock. See the CS Perk Point system below for details.

CS Perk Points

New Perk Points are here. Capture airdrops, claim upgrades, and power up throughout the match!

“Perk Points are a new in-match growth system replacing Cyber Points. Players can earn Perk Points by capturing Cyber Airdrops, with extra points granted in specific rounds. In later purchase phases, players can choose upgrade items that are then granted for free every round, continuously strengthening their combat capability.”

  • Perk Points can be used to unlock multiple growth paths, including Skill Boost upgrades, Awakened Weapons, and special buffs.
    • Lv. 1: Skill Boost or skill buffs
    • Lv. 2: Special buffs
    • Lv. 3: Special buffs
    • Lv. 4: Awakened Weapon

Other Adjustments

  • EP refund overflow: When purchasing Team EP, extra CS Cash is refunded based on the number of Mushrooms teammates purchased in the current round.
  • Double-tap a purchase slot to buy the item directly.
  • Super Bonfire now covers the entire spawn area and has a new range outline effect.

Character Balance Adjustments

Nero

Despite two rounds of nerfs in the previous patch, Nero continues to perform exceptionally well. His combination of high damage and Gloo Wall disabling leaves opponents with very limited counterplay. To better define his role, his damage is being reduced and more of his power is being shifted toward area control and anti-wall utility. The plushie will also be much easier to destroy, giving opponents more room to respond before its effects become a major threat.

Cryo Mind

Throws a 150-HP → 1-HP plushie. The plushie lasts for 12s, ignores obstacles and can fly up to 50m (100m in BR). The plushie will track the nearest enemy in sight within 8m range and explode to create an 8m-radius dreamy space. Inside the space, the user and their enemies cannot place Gloo Walls. Their enemies also lose 10 → 6 HP/s. The space disappears once the plushie is destroyed. The destroyer will be marked for 5s. Cooldown: 45s.

Chrono

As the meta has evolved, Chrono is no longer as dominant as before, but his long cooldown still limits his effectiveness. To give him more opportunities to impact matches, his skill cooldown is being reduced so the defensive force field can be used more often.

Time Turner

Creates an impenetrable force field that blocks 1000 DMG. Unable to attack outside enemies from within the field. All effects last for 10s. Cooldown: 60 → 45s.

Maro

Maro’s damage bonus has exceeded expectations and become a highly competitive passive skill. To create more room for other options, his damage scaling is being slightly toned down.

Falcon Fervor

Damage increases with distance, up to 25 → 20%. Damage to marked enemies increases by 5%.

Oscar

Oscar’s short cooldown lets him excel in too many situations, including rotations, engagements, escapes, and pushes during fights. This versatility leaves little room for other mobility skills to shine. Oscar should remain a powerful engagement tool, but one used more deliberately in key moments, so his skill cooldown is being increased.

Valiant Dash

Dashes towards the target direction, detonating the first 3 Gloo Walls in the way with 25 DMG, while also dealing 25 DMG to and knocking back enemies encountered. Cooldown: 45 → 60s.

Nikita
Nikita’s reload speed bonus can become especially oppressive with certain shotguns, particularly the M590. In some cases, reloads are so fast that opponents have very little time to react. To improve counterplay, her reload speed bonus is being slightly reduced while her anti-healing utility remains unchanged.

Firearms Expert

Reload speed increases by 30% → 20%. Every time the skill user hits an enemy, said target will get a 50% healing deduction that lasts for 6s (max. deduction: 50%).

Olivia

Olivia’s team-focused healing has struggled to compete with other options. The conditions for maximizing her value can be restrictive, and the payoff has not always felt impactful enough. To help her better fulfill the team healer role, her healing amplification and support for nearby teammates are being improved.

Healing Touch

Increases healing effects by 30% and spreads 80 → 90% of the user's single-target healing amount to teammates within 15 → 20m.

Weapon and Balance

Weapon Adjustments: PARAFAL/MP40/M590/M82B

As more weapons are added to standard map spawns, finding specific weapons has become less consistent. This patch buffs selected weapons and expands their acquisition sources beyond standard map spawns. These changes better define each weapon’s role and make acquisition more reliable.

  • PARAFAL (Buff): Armor Penetration +5%, Rarity changed to Gold.
  • MP40 (Buff): Armor Penetration +10%, Accuracy +5%, Weapon Switch Speed +25%, Rarity changed to Gold.
  • M590 (Buff): Headshot falloff range +15%, Weapon Switch Speed +20%,  Rarity changed to Gold.
  • M82B (Buff): Damage +6%, Armor Penetration +10%, Range +20%, Rarity changed to Gold.

Other Balance Adjustments

  • Shield Gun (Adjustment): The shield now reduces incoming damage by 5% and has unlimited Shield Points, instead of blocking 100% of damage with 128 Shield Points (before).
  • Parang (Adjustment): Can now be used to attack while running.

  • Improved aim assist logic. When a downed enemy and a standing enemy overlap, aim assist now prioritizes the standing enemy.

  • Optimized the “cannot fire through” visual hint when aiming right.
  • Improved ammo auto-pickup logic. Ammo stacks are now picked up automatically until the configured ammo limit is reached.
  • Added the ability to assist self-reviving teammates, helping them revive faster.
