The celebration introduces an all-new 3D Party Lobby inspired by the 9th anniversary theme, expanded character and weapon customization and power-up features across Battle Royale and Clash Squad modes, reimagined Battle Royale revival mechanics, refreshed Craftland experiences, and a wealth of free and limited-time rewards.
As Free Fire celebrates its 9th anniversary, the game remains committed to delivering fresh, player-first experiences that bring its global community closer together, creating new ways for players to connect, compete, and celebrate as one.

The Biggest Party Lobby Overhaul in Free Fire History
Free Fire has introduced its biggest lobby overhaul to date with an all-new 3D Party Lobby created for the 9th anniversary celebration. Replacing the traditional classic lobby, the new space transforms the player experience into a fully interactive social hub inspired by the 9th Anniversary Stadium.
Players can explore a variety of multiplayer activities, including dance floors with a Group Dance Captain feature, launch pads, seesaws, and interactive benches. Competitive experiences are further enhanced with features like Arena Showdown, where live predictions add a new layer of excitement and engagement. The Party Lobby also expands social interactions with playful features such as Saddle Brawl, and character size-changing effects, creating more engaging and entertaining ways for players to connect and enjoy the Free Fire experience together.

New Gameplay: Epic Fight in Battle Royale and Clash Squad Modes
As part of its 9th anniversary celebration and ongoing commitment to gameplay innovation, Free Fire is introducing two new systems across both Battle Royale and Clash Squad modes.
These additions give players greater freedom to customize their playstyle and adapt to different combat scenarios, while also enhancing character abilities and weapon performance, making combat more dynamic, strategic, and powerful than ever before.
The Skill Boost System enables players to tailor skill paths for greater versatility across 8 popular characters: Alok, Chrono, Homer, Kassie, Koda, Oscar, Skyler, and Wukong. Meanwhile, the Weapon Awakening Mechanism enables players to use Weapon Awakeners to upgrade any weapon in the game, enhancing weapon performance and unlocking new tactical possibilities.
Reimagined Battle Royale mode
In addition, Free Fire's signature Battle Royale mode receives a range of updates designed to encourage teamwork and bring squads closer together. A brand-new teammate revival mechanic lets players bring eliminated allies back into battle, creating more opportunities for dramatic comebacks.
Players can also participate in Anniversary Quests found at quest points and vending machines in designated Battle Royale locations. These team-based challenges encourage teamwork through shared rewards and a variety of engaging objectives, including shooting scattered Anniversary Fragments, collecting coins via jump pads, and reforging the great sword across the battlefield. As quests are completed, players can progressively upgrade the area, unlocking team buffs, enhanced rewards, vending machine discounts, immersive anniversary-themed effects, and other map enhancements.
The 9th Anniversary Party Venue debuts as an upgraded point of interest, featuring anniversary-themed visuals, character artwork, and interactive decorations that evoke nostalgic memories for longtime players. Moreover, players can also experience several new gameplay interactions. Additional updates include a new downed-state animation and a playful Fist Bump interaction that players can trigger after battles.

Celebrate with Exclusive Rewards and Anniversary Collectibles
The 9th anniversary celebration brings an upgraded lineup of rewards, featuring some of Free Fire’s most popular reward categories and designs to date. Players can earn the exclusive 9th anniversary Backpack, co-designed and selected by the community earlier this year, alongside a themed Male Bundle, an upgraded PARAFAL gun skin, a Katana skin, and more by completing event milestones.
Inspired by this year’s “Epic Fight” theme, the Male Bundle showcases elevated design details, including fragmented shoulder elements that symbolize a player who has been reforged and strengthened through battle. Players can unlock these rewards by completing event milestones throughout the celebration.

Additional collectibles will also be available, including a premium Male Bundle and a new AUG EVO Gun featuring upgraded privileges, such as special sound effects and scope designs. The premium Male Bundle showcases dynamic VFX textures with continuously shifting forms, complemented by a shoulder summon effect inspired by transformation and rebirth.
Players can also look forward to new Group Skydive and Group Travel Emotes, offering fresh ways to celebrate and coordinate with teammates in style.

Craftland Gets a 9th Anniversary Makeover
Two popular player-created Craftland maps will receive special 9th anniversary reskins and themed events. In Free Garden, an Energy Storm transforms fruits into Energy-Mutated Fruits, which players can collect and exchange for rewards in the Activity Shop. Meanwhile, Steal A Pet introduces a two-week event where players can earn points redeemable for limited-time gifts and pets, bringing fresh anniversary experiences to community-created content.

An anniversary theme song to bring it all together
To mark its 9th anniversary, Free Fire will release a new theme song, “Made for the Fire,” on June 24. The track will be available on Spotify through Free Fire’s official music channel, bringing this year’s “Epic Fight” theme to life and celebrating players’ resilience, growth, and passion for battle throughout their Free Fire journey.
